Nancy Gillis Program Officer ngillis at nas.edu Nancy Gillis is a program officer at the Computer Science and Telecommunications Board, National Research Council of the National Academies. She has over 15 years experience in communications and technology policy, ranging from spectrum policy and the use of communications technology in support of economic development, to integrating communication processes as part of strategic planning for Fortune 500 companies. She has worked with several government agencies - National Institutes of Health (NIH), General Services Administration (GSA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) - developing policies, business models, case studies, and strategic plans. Her international development project work has led her to work with the United Nations, SNV-Netherlands Development Organization, and the Nature Conservancy. Nancy holds a dual bachelors degree from George Mason University (English Literature/Govt. & Politics), a graduate degree from Georgetown University (Communications, Culture and Technology) and will be awarded a graduate degree from Fordham University(International Political Economy and Development) in Spring 2009.
