The workshop featured invited presentations and discussions to review the current state of science on political and strategic reasoning, both traditional and alternative perspectives, with a focus on examining the role of political or economic actors, structures, and/or contexts within which they exist (e.g., domestic, international, transnational). This workshop was one of three workshops held on October 11, 2017 in Washington, D.C.  The workshops were designed to gather information for the Decadal Survey of Social and Behavioral Sciences for Applications to National Security.
