The workshop will feature invited presentations and discussions to examine the state of science on cognition and perception and how it may be applied to better understand individuals’ decision-making – how individuals and teams gather information and make sense of data (particularly large amounts of data) for decision making.

This workshop is one of three workshops to be held on January 24, 2018 in Washington, D.C. The workshops are designed to gather information for the Decadal Survey of Social and Behavioral Sciences for Applications to National Security. Input from the research communities is critical to the success of the SBS Decadal Survey. In advance of and during the workshops, research ideas and comments on those ideas are encouraged.
