On July 2, 2012, BOHSI staff members, committee member Bruce Gans, and NIDRR staff members conducted a workshop on the recently released report Review of Disability and Rehabilitation Research: NIDRR Grantmaking Processes and Products at the annual meeting of the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America. The presentation provided an overview of the methods and results of the evaluation, the committee’s recommendations for improving NIDRR’s key processes and the quality of grantee outputs, and recommendations for conducting future evaluations. Information was also presented on steps NIDRR is planning, or is already taking, to address the report recommendations.
