Workshop on Developing Indicators for Undergraduate STEM

This workshop explored existing indicators and measures of the quality of undergraduate education generally and undergraduate STEM education specifically. Speakers discussed the National Science Board's Science and Engineering Indicators, the California State University System's STEM Dashboard, regional accreditation of undergraduate education, and approaches to measuring equity in undergraduate STEM. The workshop was designed to inform a study committee charged to identify objectives for undergraduate STEM and develop national indicators of quality in 2-year and 4-year STEM education.
