Projects and associated reports in this category take up issues in science education beginning in early childhood through 12th grade (pre-primary through secondary education), focusing mostly on schools but also on other formal settings such as day-care centers. A wide range of topics are covered such as how students learn science, effective instruction, how to support teachers, the development of interest and motivation, or the teaching of controversial topics in science (e.g., climate change).
