Malay Majmundar Malay K. Majmundar, Director

Malay K. Majmundar is a senior program officer who directs the Committee on Population. He is currently leading projects on the demography of aging, women's mental health across the life course, longitudinal studies for aging research, and the demography of sexual and gender minorities. While at the National Academies, he has worked on studies on demography, criminal justice, immigration enforcement and statistics, and the federal budget. He has a B.A. in political science from Duke University, a J.D. from Yale University, and a Ph.D. in public policy from the University of Chicago.
Staff Mary Ghitelman Mary Ghitelman, Senior Program Assistant

´╗┐Mary Ghitelman is Senior Program Assistant for the Board on Environmental Change and Society, the Committee on Population, and the Board on Children, Youth, and Families in the Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences and Education. She has been with the Academies since April of 2015. Previous to that, she worked on temporary assignments with the Academies as well as the National Academy of Education. She is a Maryland native who ended up in Wisconsin for her higher education— Mary received a B.A. in psychology from Beloit College.
