You are invited to attend a workshop on Training Students to Extract Value from Big Data, hosted by the Committee on Applied and Theoretical Statistics of the National Research Council of the National Academies.

What are the key principles of a big data curriculum?
How can big data courses serve an interdisciplinary audience?

May 16-17, 2014, Fisheries Stock Assessment Methodology Workshop

What are the frontiers in methodology for the use of image, video, and other sensor data?
What lessons can be learned from other research fields and applied to fisheries stock assessment?
What are promising research directions?
