MathSci 2025: Call for Submissions A new study on the Mathematical Sciences in 2025 will assess the current state of the mathematical sciences and emerging trends.
- What research is taking place at the frontier of mathematics, and how will its applications advance science, strengthen national security, and promote economic competitiveness?
- How can the United States cultivate a community of researchers, students, and professionals that will sustain the mathematical sciences through changes in the coming century?
Contribute your views on major research trends and stresses affecting the field of mathematics using our online form. Visit the project website for more information on the project statement of task and upcoming meetings. An interim report is scheduled to be released this summer, and the final report will be released in the first half of 2012. |

| DEPS Unveils New Materials and Manufacturing Board The National Materials and Manufacturing Board (NMMB) merges two previous DEPS boards: the National Materials Advisory Board and the Board on Manufacturing and Engineering Design, reflecting the increasing importance of innovations in materials science to manufacturing.
NMMB builds on the past achievements of its parent boards by providing independent assessments of materials and manufacturing research and of innovative applications for new and existing materials, including pilot-scale and large-scale manufacturing, the design of new devices, and disposal.
Visit the NMMB Web site or view the NMMB brochure to learn more about membership and upcoming projects. |
