Panel Session 5: Ensuring An Adequate Workforce

 The Panel session will have four discussants and one moderator who will be a member of the NRC committee. Each panel will give short presentations (~10 minutes each) and then deliberate on a set of questions posed by the moderator. Toward the end of each panel session, written questions from the floor will be accepted and posed to the panel by the moderator.

 Discussion Topic for Session

Given the unpredictability of: scientific and technological change; levels and trajectory of DoD budgets; advancements and emerging threats; and the historical inadequacy of past projections of future workforce needs--How can the DoD ensure an adequate workforce capability for itself and its defense contractors in the future?
