Alternative Work Arrangements: Private Sector Practices

Agenda

Technology, generational cultural shifts, space and energy saving requirements are a few of many factors impacting workforce management today in federal agencies and in the private sector. The Office of Personnel Management has determined that the federal government has shifted from a “telework” model to a “mobile work” model. The GSA has identified four areas where mobility provides benefits: business, people, space, and environment. Work models within the private sector are shifting as well, necessitating increased innovation to accommodate these shifts.
The Federal Facilities Council (FFC) is holding a series of forums on “alternative work arrangements”. This second forum will provide an overview of policies and practices for alternative work arrangements in the private sector.
