VIDEO: Exoplanets and the Real Search for Alien Life

Astronomers have discovered more than 1,000 planets orbiting stars other than our Sun with thousands more expected. In this lecture Sara Seager, a 2013 MacArthur Fellow, explores the incredible diversity of these exoplanets and how further study could yield potential signs of life beyond Earth.

This lecture was part of Space Science Week 2014, hosted by the Space Studies Board and Board on Physics and Astronomy.
