CONFERENCE OF FORD FELLOWS

The annual Conference of Ford Fellows is a unique national conference of a select group of high-achieving scholars committed to diversifying the professoriate and using diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students. Over a three-day period, scholars can engage in the following activities:

• Networking with peers and “elders”
• Face to face conversations with university and academic presses
• Publication workshops
• Strategies to complete the dissertation
• Planning an academic career
• Career advancement workshops
• Proposal, grant-writing, and research funding advice
• Paper and poster presentations with supportive comments and critiques from colleagues
• Opportunities to identify mentors and peers from across the country
• Opportunities to interact with established and emerging scholars in diverse fields

The 2012 Conference of Ford Fellows will be held on September 21-22 in Newport Beach, California. More information on the Conference theme and agenda is forthcoming.

The 2011 Conference of Ford Fellows was held on October 14-15 in Irvine, California. The theme of the 2011 conference was "Creative Solutions for Evolving Challenges: Diversity of Thought and Action". Available here in PDF is the conference final agenda.
