CONFERENCE OF FORD FELLOWS The annual Conference of Ford Fellows is a unique national conference of a select group of high-achieving scholars committed to diversifying the professoriate and using diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students. Over a three-day period, scholars can engage in the following activities: - Networking with peers and “elders”
- Face to face conversations with university and academic presses
- Publication workshops
- Strategies to complete the dissertation
- Planning an academic career
- Career advancement workshops
- Proposal, grant-writing, and research funding advice
- Paper and poster presentations with supportive comments and critiques from colleagues
- Opportunities to identify mentors and peers from across the country
- Opportunities to interact with established and emerging scholars in diverse fields
The 2012 Conference of Ford Fellows will be held on September 21-22 in Newport Beach, California. More information on the Conference theme and agenda is forthcoming. The 2011 Conference of Ford Fellows was held on October 14-15 in Irvine, California.
