BRUCE WILSON Bruce Wilson is the Group Leader for Client and Collaboration Technologies at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and an Adjunct Professor of Information Sciences at the University of Tennessee. His research and application interests focus on the ways that information systems enable science, particularly in terms of collaboration around data and synthesis of data from multiple sources. Bruce earned a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry under Bruce Kowalski at the University of Washington and his undergraduate degree is in Chemistry and Mathematics from Michigan State University. He worked for 18 years in the chemical industry in a variety of roles, including process analytical chemistry, synthetic polymer chemistry, and material sciences informatics before joining ORNL in 2006 to work on environmental and ecology data management. Bruce is a member of the DataONE Core Cyberinfrastructure Team and the Advisory Board for the USA National Phenology Network.
