Syrian Engineer Marwan al-'Ush Released from Prison July 23, 2010

On July 15, 2010, upon completion of his 30-month prison term, Syrian geological engineer Marwan al-'Ush was released from 'Adra Prison.  Of the six cases of members of the National Council on the Damascus Declaration for Democratic National Change undertaken by the CHR, Mr. al-'Ush is the last to be released from custody.  For background information on the "Damascus Declaration" prisoners and the four health professionals who were released from prison last month--Walid al-Bunni, Yasser al-'Eiti, Feda'a al-Horani, and Ahmad To'meh--please click here.  Medical doctor Kamal al-Mwayel was released from prison on September 18, 2008.
