Standing Committees

The standing committees provide strategic direction and oversee activities of ad hoc study committees, interact with sponsors, and serve as a communications medium between the government and the scientific community.

• Committee on Astronomy and Astrophysics
• Committee on Earth Science and Applications from Space
• Committee on Astrobiology and Planetary Science
• Committee on Solar and Space Physics

Each of the standing committees will hold their annual meetings during the SSB's Space Science Week on March 6-8, 2013 in Washington, DC. This will be an annual occurrence to take place the first Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in March of each year.
