Climate at the National Academies

Engage with us!

National Academies' work would not be possible without the engagement and contributions of countless volunteers and stakeholders that serve on our expert committees, participate in meetings and workshops (in-person or online), and submit their input and reviews. Please check out our list of current projects and activities below to see how you might want to be involved. Other announcements and upcoming events are listed here

Support Our Work

The Climate Communications Initiative brings the nation’s leading scholarship on climate science, impacts, and response options to inform the public and decision makers. This initiative has the unique opportunity to leverage consensus reports and ongoing activities across the depth and breadth of scientific disciplines housed at the National Academies to offer a suite of authoritative and objective materials and engagement opportunities.

Support from donors like you helps us to:

  • Maintain a web and social media portal to the extensive collection of climate-related work conducted across the National Academies.
  • Produce videos, infographics, booklets and other resources that make our reports more accessible.
  • Develop exciting new activities that engage directly with stakeholders to meet their needs for climate information.

If you, or your organization, are interested in participating as a sponsor for this initiative, please contact Amanda Staudt (astaudt at nas.edu) directly.
