How can we best evaluate our teachers? How might they be better prepared when they enter the classroom? How should they be selected? Teacher quality is perhaps the most important single determinant of the quality of the educational experience, but there are countless unanswered questions about how to make sure schools have well prepared teachers in every classroom. Our work provides a clear picture of where the research meets the real-world demands of policy.
