AshtonIntroducing the Circular Economy @ USAID
Weslynne Ashton [view bio]
March 21, 2019

For USAID, the Circular Economy presents a new paradigm for orienting development assistance activities that is directly in line with partner countries’ Journey to Self Reliance, through local economic development and circulation of a variety of resources. The presentation introduces the circular economy concept, and explores how the CE can be integrated into USAID’s programming with a focus on two examples - the energy sector and cities, drawn from Dr. Ashton’s work in the Bureau for Europe and Eurasia.
