Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to Accelerate Translational Research

October 2014 Banner

The advent and pervasive nature of big data and what it means for science is being realized every day. This meeting will focus on how big data is changing the way we do science, looking particularly at the challenges of working with and analyzing big data sets, ethics and privacy concerns, workforce and training issues, and opportunities for public-private partnerships. While acknowledgement will be made of the technical side of big data, our discussion will focus primarily on the role and impact of big data in scholarly research.
