Leah Probst joined the Fellowships Office as an Associate Program Officer in 2015. She supports programs such as Ford Foundation Fellowships, Jefferson Science Fellowships, and the Research Associates Program. She manages the processes for initiating new awards, renewing and administering awards, coordinating with program sponsors, and assisting fellows and associates. Prior to joining the Fellowships Office, her work at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine included studies on environmental remote sensing programs, monitoring stratospheric ozone, and climate change and prediction. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in human resource development, both from George Washington University.
