Tom Jurkiw Tom joined the Fellowships Office in 2022 and is a Program Administrator for the Research Associateship Programs. Prior to joining the Academies, Tom was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition studying the genomics of foodborne pathogens. He received a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the University of Michigan where he studied the molecular mechanisms underlying DNA replication and repair.
