Lynne Haffner

Lynne Haffner has been with the National Academies since August 1971.  She started out as a data processing file clerk in the National Academies Accounting Office and worked in various departments (Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Accounts Payable) until 1983.  In November 1983 she joined the Associateships Program taking on the responsibility of managing the monthly stipend payroll, the health insurance program for research associates and withholding of taxes for foreign associates on tenure.  Lynne volunteers to attend professional meetings to promote the Associateships program.  Her hobbies include events committee member with the Freestate Happy Wanderers Volksmarching Club who promote walking events in the State of Maryland.  She also enjoys spending time with her daughter and grandson.
