Michael Halewood leads the Policy Research and Support Unit at Bioversity International, one of the 15 Centres of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). Michael holds a doctoral degree in law from Osgoode Hall Law School; his thesis concerned protecting the traditional knowledge of Aboriginal Canadians. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto and an undergraduate degree in political science.
