Karla Strieb Assistant Executive Director Association of Research Libraries Karla Strieb is responsible for ARL’s Transforming Research Libraries program, which focuses on new and expanding roles for ARL libraries. As the digital age continues to transform research and scholarship, ARL’s TRL program engages with developments that advance research library engagement with the research enterprise. Strieb joined ARL in 2005 when she assumed leadership of ARL’s Office of Scholarly Communication. Prior to joining the ARL staff, Strieb held various positions in ARL member libraries. She has a Ph.D from the University of Maryland College of Information Studies, an M.L.S. from Syracuse University, an M.S. from the University of Chicago, and a B.S. from Wittenberg University.
