Empowering Women in STEM
A Joint Session of the U.S. State Department and the National Academies Committee on Women in Science, Engineering, and Medicine
On October 12th, the National Academies’ Committee on Women in Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is holding an event with the State Department to bring leaders from the U.S. scientific and engineering communities together with an international cohort of women scientists from 50 countries to discuss best practices in the effective recruitment, training, and development of women in STEM. This engagement is part of the State Department’s International Visitors Leadership Program.
The event will take place from 4-5:30 p.m. on October 12th at the National Academy of Sciences Building on Constitution Ave., and will be followed by a reception from 5:30-7 p.m.
