McAlister Clabaugh has served the National Academies several times and in a number of positions.  His work focuses broadly on innovation policy, with emphases on clean energy, small business development, and technology partnerships.  He worked as a consultant and analyst for Pacific Gas & Electric and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and co-authored a report on strategic approaches to emerging clean energy industries for the National Governors Association.  Mr. Clabaugh received a Master of Public Policy from the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
