U.S. China Policy for Science, Technology, and Innovation
October 23, 2013
NAS Lecture Room

On 23 October 2013, the STEP Board’s Innovation Policy Forum, in cooperation with Cisco and the National Development and Reform Commission, is hosting a workshop entitled U.S.-China Policy for Science, Technology, and Innovation.  The conference is to be held at the National Academy of Sciences Building at 2100 C Street, NW.

This conference will build on the highly successful series of annual U.S.-China innovation conferences held at the National Academies in Washington, DC, dating back to 2009.  We will be joined by a strong delegation of senior officials representing key Chinese government agencies, led by the National Development and Reform Commission, as well as senior regional officials.  With matching representation from the U.S. government and academic leaders, the day-long conference provides an opportunity to learn about Chinese policy in key industrial sectors and to explore areas of mutual interest where international cooperation could prove beneficial.
