Elizabeth (Beth) T. Stark, Ph.D., Director, Pfizer Strategic Alliances, has responsibility for negotiating and managing external research alliances and technology licenses for the Inflammation & Immunology Research Unit and the Biotherapeutics Center of Excellence, based in St Louis, Missouri. Beth’s educational background is a B.S. in Chemistry from Kansas State University (1986), a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Kansas (1991), and an M.A. in Biology from Washington University (1998). Beth has spent her career working in the area of technology transfer, research alliance management, technology licensing and business development for R&D based companies. She has experience working in a variety of life science industries ranging from agricultural biotechnology to medical diagnostics, functional foods and pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining Pfizer, Beth worked at the Plant and Food Research Institute of New Zealand in Auckland, at Monsanto Company, and at St. Louis-based Mallinckrodt Medical Inc (now Covidien).
