Asha Soutar
 
Asha Soutar joined the Fellowships Office at the National Academies in July 2011. She oversees all programmatic aspects of award administration for FO programs including the Research Associateships Programs (RAP) and the Ford Fellowships Programs. Asha also supports the administration of the Jefferson Science Fellows program and serves as coordinator for the NIST ARRA, NOAA, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency sponsored labs. Additionally, she assists in the establishment and approval of FO review panels and the organization of the Conference of Ford Fellows. Prior to joining the National Academies, Asha worked on Economic Policy issues at the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) in Washington, DC, and at the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) in Stockholm, Sweden. She received a B.A. in International Relations from San Francisco State University and an M.A. in International Relations from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
